Ice Storm heads-up for Iroquois County —
The Iroquois County and Illiana-area is bracing for more winter weather today. The National Weather Service is calling for freezing rain and rain this afternoon, with an ice accumulation of up to one-tenth of an inch. Some areas may receive up to three-quarters of an inch of ice. Motorists are urged to exercise caution, especially on the bridges, ramps, and overpasses.
Iroquois County Emergency Services and Disaster Agency (ESDA) urges citizens to pay attention to the pre-storm warning and take necessary steps to deal with the expected weather. Assistance available by calling ESDA 815-432-6997.
