NWS Update >

Officials at the NWS are now reporting a survey of damage from Sunday’s stormy weather shows two tornadoes hit Kankakee County. Twisters occurred along a line of weather running from north of Momence to two-miles west of Grant Park. The tornadoes destroyed some rural buildings and took the rooftops off two barns. No injuries were reported.

The damage at a greenhouse north of Grant Park was the result of a microburst, according to weather officials.
