> The growing list of cancellations will continue today as the Winter Storm Warning kicked in early today. Already there’s reports of five inches of snow on the ground in parts of central-Illinois. More is expected by midday, with total accumulations around 7 inches, according to the National Weather Service. Blustery winds and falling temperatures kick in this afternoon and a winter storm warning is in effect until 6 a.m. Friday. A handful of rural school districts closed earlier this morning. The winds should add to the list as the day continues. The snow is part of a huge system spread across the middle of the country.
