…Flood Watch in effect from 1 am CDT /2 am EDT/ Thursday through late Thursday night…
The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a
* Flood Watch for portions of Illinois and Indiana…including
the following areas…in Illinois…Boone…Cook…De Kalb…
dupage…Ford…Grundy…Iroquois…Kane…Kankakee…
Kendall…La Salle…lake IL…Lee…Livingston…McHenry…
Ogle…will and Winnebago. In Indiana…Benton…Jasper…Lake
in…Newton and Porter.
* From 1 am CDT /2 am EDT/ Thursday through late Thursday night.
* Widespread rain with thunderstorms will bring periods of heavy
rain to the region tonight and Thursday. This system will tap
ample moisture from the Gulf of Mexico bringing the potential
for rainfall amounts in excess of 2 inches. Locally heavier
amounts are likely with the stronger storms.
* Heavy rains may result in rises and possible flooding on local
rivers as well as flooding of open fields and low lying areas.
