…Flash Flood Watch in effect from 1 am CDT Wednesday through Thursday morning…
The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for portions of Illinois and Indiana…
including the following areas…in Illinois…Cook…De Kalb…
dupage…Ford…Grundy…Iroquois…Kane…Kankakee…
Kendall…La Salle…Lee…Livingston…Ogle and will. In
Indiana…Benton…Jasper…Lake in…Newton and Porter.
* From 1 am CDT Wednesday through Thursday morning.
* Showers and thunderstorms are expected to redevelop later this
evening and impact areas that have already been inundated by
heavy rains in the last 24 hours. Additional heavy rainfall on
already saturated ground could lead to flash flooding tonight (Tues).
Precautionary/preparedness actions…
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
