Dense Fog Advisory
Statement as of 3:49 AM February 06, 2012

…Dense fog advisory in effect until noon today…

Visibility…dense fog will reduce visibilities to less than a quarter mile…to near zero at times.
Visibility can drop from fair to less than a quarter
mile within minutes. In addition…temperatures below freezing will allow fog to freeze on contact with exposed surfaces. As a result…light ice deposits may develop on area roadways…with bridges and overpasses being most susceptible to slick conditions developing. Motorists are urged to use caution and remain alert for changing conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions…

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving…slow down…use your headlights…and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
